J. Cole is an internationally recognized college counseling expert. He has a passion for college counseling and believes there is a college for every student. For over 25 years he has helped students and families realize their college dreams.
J. has led college counseling programs at independent schools across the United States and the Middle East, advising thousands of students with diverse academic profiles, talents, and goals. He is known for building strong, trust-based relationships with students and their families and for simplifying the college admissions landscape.
J. is a sought-after speaker who has designed and delivered college planning information sessions, workshops, and college planning courses. He is the author of a college planning guide titled; "Get ’Em Out, Help Your Teen Discover a Successful Path To College" written to help students navigate the transition from high school to college with clarity and confidence.
J. Cole holds a master’s degree in School Counseling from The George Washington University. He is an active member of NACAC, PCACAC, and WAIS. A retired U.S. navy veteran of 22 years, he brings a strong sense of service, discipline, and integrity to his work. He and his wife live in Maryland, and are the proud parents of 7 children.
